Maya is not a cow
the wedding was over in a wink, but the memories will be treasured forever. the gift of tears (of joy) is precious. and the gift of friends, family and community is most cherished.
the week passed by as quickly. catching up with chores... laundry, dusting/sweeping, cooking, and taking care of Maya (MOSTLY taking care of Maya...)
Maya has been extra, extra, extra precocious. (in other words, super kulit!!) she gets her "stand-in-the-corner" reprimands at least thrice a day... for climbing the stairs alone (the usual stunt), and other new stunts she never fails to invent each day. just the other day, she was close to spilling water at some neighborhood kid who was taunting her playmate.
lately my patience gets tested but there are moments when she just makes me laugh.
One time she asked me why cows have breasts. I told her that the glass of milk she drinks comes from cow's milk. She replied, "Bakit baka ba ako?" (Why, am I a cow?) Haha. That's exactly what a breastmilk advocate friend of mine would say, "Cow's milk are for cows.."
well, i had planned on nursing her til she turns three this november, but my pregnancy has rendered my breasts tender and too sensitive. but i'm thinking about tandem nursing once the baby comes out feb. next year.
At least my little girl knows she isn't a cow... :)
